Foundation Fundraiser 2003
How does the Fundraiser Work:
Each student in AO gets a packet of 10 tickets that they will be
responsible to sell.
Tickets Cost $5 each
Winner will get 50% of the total ticket sales for that chapter.
Have donor fill in contact information and give them the other
part.
Give the donor the thank-you gift for donating
(will be provided to you).
After you have sold all the tickets return the envelope to your
chapter President or appropriate fundraising coordinator.
Purpose of this Fundraiser:
To establish an endowment sponsored by the students of Alpha Omega as part of the AO Foundation’s 'Centennial Campaign'. In the past, the CHAI Club raised money throughout the year and donated ALL of the proceeds. An endowment would allow us to retain a portion of the money raised so year after year we will be able give larger and larger donations based on accruing interest from our principle.
Goal:
Each student should raise $50 by selling 10 raffle tickets ($5 each) and each chapter should raise a minimum of $1000 (200 tickets).
How to attain this goal:
Ask family/friends to participate
Have neighbors/landlords donate
Buy a few yourself
Set up table at lunch and have free baked goods and snacks for
donors
Ask favorite professors for support
Have AO Alumni/Professors enter
Go to AO Alumni functions and ask for support
Incentives:
Participate in an international philanthropy
and add it to your resume
Everyone who sells all 10 tickets will automatically become a
member of CHAI Club and receive a CHAI Club pin ($18 value). They will also be
entered in the CHAI Club raffle for prizes at the convention in California.
Each chapter to raise $1000 (200 tickets) or more will be issued
one AO t-shirt, hat and vest to give as prizes to students who participated in
the raffle ($60 value).
The student who sells the most raffle tickets in EACH chapter will
get free AO t-shirt.
Each chapter to raise $1000 (200 tickets) or more will get free
tuition for one student to attend the student leadership conference ($50 value).
The
chapter who sells the most tickets will receive $250 for chapter activities and
all participants will get AO gear. They will also be honored at convention for their
philanthropy to Alpha Omega
The individual student who sells the most
raffle tickets will get free tuition for
the AO International Convention in Palm Springs California ($500 value) and will
be honored there for philanthropy to Alpha Omega.
